Chris Leach ’70 (Peter Robinson College) was the founder of the Trent University Rowing Club, the Peterborough Rowing Club, and the Head of the Trent Regatta. A two-time Olympian, he was more than an athlete - he was a mentor, leader, and visionary.
Help us carry forward Chris’s legacy and strengthen the future of Trent rowing. Your support to the Chris Leach Rowing Coach Development Fund will ensure the long-term success, sustainability, and impact of Trent rowing - both on and off the water.
His compassion, positive energy, and big-picture thinking instilled in rowers not only the drive to win, but also the life skills to thrive beyond the sport. One of his favourite mantras, “Go big or go home,” continues to inspire those he coached.
